Box Score WALESKA, Ga. -- Fourth-ranked Lindsey Wilson women's tennis lost just one match in an 8-1 win over host and No. 24 Reinhardt (Ga.) today.
The lone loss on the afternoon came in a retirement during singles play.
Lindsey Wilson (1-0) jumped out to a 3-0 lead winning the top two singles matches by identical 8-3 scores. The other win came via a default, as the Eagles did not put a team on the court in the third-seeded match.
Leading 1-0 following the default, Lina Sachica and Lucia Mora -- ranked No. 21 in the NAIA in doubles -- knocked off Albane Queinnec and Taylor Nelson in the second-seeded match to give Lindsey Wilson a 2-0 lead.
Alexandra Parra and Steffi McDonald quickly extended the lead to 3-0 with a win in the top-seeded doubles match over Glauka Carvajal and Alexandra Cuello.
The Blue Raiders opened singles play with a default win at No. 6 singles for the 4-0 lead.
Sachica -- ranked 15th in the NAIA -- clinched the decisive point in the top-seeded singles match with a 6-3, 6-2 win over Carvajal.
Cuello picked up the only Reinhardt win after Parra retired following an opening-set 7-5 win.
Mora and McDonald won their matches in straight sets while Alibert defeated Nelson 6-2, 2-6, 6-4 to close out the 8-1 win.
