OWENSBORO, Ky. -- The Lindsey Wilson women's tennis team opened play at the Mid-South Conference Fall Invite with a 7-0 win over Tennessee Southern.

The Blue Raiders (1-0) captured the doubles point by winning all three doubles matches and swept singles play to secure the 7-0 win.

Alexandra Parra and Lucia Mora opened doubles action with a dominant 6-2 win while Darija Mladenovic and Parisa Rachdanone won the second match 6-1 to claim the doubles point. Salome Sposetti and Yuno Oe also won their doubles match 6-4.

In singles action, five of the six competing Blue Raiders won in straight sets with Parra starting things off with a 6-3, 6-2 win over Margaret Lucas.

Rachdanone gave the Blue Raiders a 2-0 team lead later with her 6-3, 6-1 win over Emily Castro.

Mora, who was the only Blue Raider to drop a set on the afternoon, won her match 3-6, 6-3, 10-5 while Mladenovic (6-2, 6-2), Sposetti (6-1, 6-0) and Oe (6-1, 6-0) all won in straight sets.

Lindsey Wilson will return to action tomorrow morning at 9 a.m. CT to play the winner of Shawnee State (Ohio) and Campbellsville (Ky.).
