COLUMBIA, Ky. -- The Lindsey Wilson women's tennis team closed out the regular season with a 6-1 win over Thomas More (Ky.) Monday afternoon.

The 16th-ranked Blue Raiders finished the regular season with a 12-2 overall record going 9-1 in Mid-South Conference play this season.

The Blue Raiders swept the doubles point to begin the afternoon as No. 11 ranked Alexandra Parra and Lucia Mora defeated Matison Perry and Kimberly Sagba to start the afternoon. Carla Alibert and Reshma Challarapu followed up with a 6-0 sweep Sydney Johnson and Madi Carle to secure the doubles point.

In the singles matches, Challarapu extended the Lindsey Wilson lead to 2-0 with a 6-0, 6-1 win over Perry. No. 36-ranked Mora moved the Blue Raiders score to 3-0 with a 6-0, 6-1 victory in the top-seeded match of the afternoon over Sagba. No. 39-ranked Parisa Rachdanone won the fourth set of the afternoon with a 6-0, 6-1 victory over Cassie Saner for the 4-0 lead.

Thomas More gained their only point of the afternoon when Alibert retired against Sydney Johnson, making it 4-1 at the time. Salome Sposetti defeated Aman Dail with a 6-0, 6-0 sweep while Yuno Oe defeated Carle 6-0, 6-1 to secure the victory in the final singles competition of the afternoon.

Women's tennis now awaits for their seeding in the Mid-South Conference tournament taking place April 15-18 in Owensboro, Ky.
