KENNESAW, Ga. – The Lindsey Wilson men's soccer team remained undefeated in conference play Tuesday night completing a 4-2 win over Life (Ga.).

The Blue Raiders (4-1-1, 3-0 MSC) outshot the Running Eagles (3-3-1, 1-1-1 MSC) 22-12 in the match with a 12-7 shot on goal mark. Nathaniel Onyina Opoku recorded his first career hat-trick on the night with Monwabisi Mngqibisa also grabbing a goal in the match. Alexander Koziolek recorded his fourth assist of the season while Pedro Maximiano grabbed his first assist in Lindsey Wilson colors.

It was a bit of a cagey affair between the two sides in the first half with both teams committing double-digit fouls and a yellow card issued to a player on each team. While there were plenty of fouls, there were also plenty of goal-scoring opportunities with the Blue Raiders outshooting the Running Eagles 11-7 in the first half. It was the Running Eagles however who got the first goal with Wilfried Tchoupa Kamden opening the scoring in the 25th minute. The Blue Raiders answered back 11 minutes later with a nifty finish from Opoku to level the match at 1-1 heading into the break.

Lindsey Wilson continued their momentum into the second half with Opoku putting the Blue Raiders ahead in the 53rd minute after a corner kick from Koziolek. The goal was the second of the game for Opoku and the fourth assist this season for Koziolek. A few minutes later, Mngqibisa scored the third goal of the match for the Blue Raiders after finishing off a good pass from Maximiano, who records his first career assist in a Lindsey Wilson shirt.

Life wasn't going down without a fight however as later in the second half leading goal-scorer Danny DeLorijn scored in the 75th minute to give some late hope to the Running Eagles. The comebacks momentum was halted minutes later as Opoku scored his third goal of the match to record his first career hat-trick in a Lindsey Wilson uniform. DeLorijn scored again for Life in the dying moments of the second half, but it wasn't enough for the Running Eagles as the Blue Raiders held on to win 4-3.

Lindsey Wilson continues their road trip with a visit to No. 15-ranked Cumberlands (Ky.) on Saturday, October 2nd. Kickoff is set for 1:30 p.m. CT.
