LAWRENCEVILLE, Ga. -- No. 13-ranked Lindsey Wilson women's tennis suffered its first loss of the season today, falling 4-0 to top-ranked Georgia Gwinnett at the GGC Tennis Facility.

The match is the first of four over the weekend during the Grizzly Invitational.

The Blue Raiders (3-1) lost all three doubles matches to fall behind 1-0 entering singles play.

Georgia Gwinnett's Iryna Lysykh and Selina Pichler defeated Reshma Challarapu and Salome Sposetti in the second-seeded match 6-0. Ale Ferrer and Liza Velykorodna secured the doubles point for the Grizzlies with a 6-1 win over Parisa Rachdanone and Anastasiia Ivanchenko in the No. 3-seeded match.

Lindsey Wilson failed to take a match in singles play in its first match of the spring.

The Grizzlies (5-0) won in straight sets at second, third, and fifth-seeded matches to secure the win.

Lindsey Wilson returns to action at 8 a.m. CT on Saturday against No. 10-ranked Montreat (N.C.) and No. 3-ranked Xavier (La.) at 4 p.m. CT during day two of the Grizzly Invitational.
