Box Score

LAWRENCEVILLE, Ga. -- No. 13-ranked Lindsey Wilson women's tennis ran its winning streak to three straight with a 4-1 win over Bluefield State (W.Va.) on Sunday to close out the Grizzly Invitational at the Georgia Gwinnett Tennis Facility.

The win enables the Blue Raiders to finish the weekend with a 3-1 record at the invitational, including a pair of wins over nationally-ranked opponents.

The Blue Raiders (6-1) started fast today winning two doubles matches 6-0 to take the doubles point.

Parisa Rachdanone and Anastasiia Ivanchenko blanked Paua Saez-Raez and Victoria Cabral in the third-seeded match and Alexandra Parra and Lucia Mora quickly followed with a win over Shreya Chakraborty and Juliana Jimenez in the top-seeded match.

While Lindsey Wilson cruised in the doubles, the Blue Raiders had to work in the singles to come away with the team win.

Bluefield State's Virginia Zanotti evened the match at 1-1 with a 0-6, 7-6 (2), 6-3 win over Reshma Challarapu in the second-seeded match. It was the first of three three-set matches during singles play.

Ivanchenko and Mora also went the distance in their matches with each winning the decisive set 6-3.

Ivanchenko beat Jimenez 7-5, 3-6, 6-3 on court three to give Lindsey Wilson the 2-1 advantage. Mora extended the lead to 3-1 with a 7-6 (5), 3-6, 6-3 win over Chakraborty in the top-seeded match.

Salome Sposetti provided the most dominant singles win for the Blue Raiders while dealing the knockout blow. She dropped just one game in a 6-1, 6-0 win over Saez-Raez in the fifth-seeded match for the team win.

The last two matches -- which Lindsey Wilson was leading -- were stopped with the team win in hand.

Lindsey Wilson returns to action at noon CT on Monday, March 7, as the Blue Raiders play No. 16-ranked William Woods (Mo.) in Williamsburg, Ky.
