Box Score 2 LAWRENCEVILLE, Ga. -- No. 13-ranked Lindsey Wilson women's tennis upset two nationally ranked teams today at the Grizzly Invite at the Georgia Gwinnett Tennis Facility.
The Blue Raiders beat No. 6 Montreat (N.C.) 4-3 and followed with a 4-0 win over No. 11-ranked Xavier (La.). Lindsey Wilson improves to 5-1 on the season with the wins.

Lindsey Wilson grabbed an early lead on Montreat by winning two of the three doubles matches to take a 1-0 lead entering singles play.
Parisa Rachdanone and Anastasiia Ivanchenko won easily at the third-seeded doubles match with a 6-1 win over Vaishnavi Venkatesh and Mariam Bayatian. The Cavaliers won the second-seeded match to set up a winner-take-all at the top-seeded doubles match.
Alexandra Parra and Lucia Mora -- ranked No. 17 in the NAIA in doubles -- helped the Blue Raiders grab the all-important doubles point with a 6-3 win over Carolina Reis and Nicole Bueno
The doubles point ultimately was the deciding point as the two teams split the six singles matches.
Stephanie Petit -- the No. 1-ranked singles player in the NAIA -- evened the match at 1-1 with a straight-sets win over Parra in the top-seeded singles match. Ivanchenko pushed the Blue Raiders back in front with a 6-3, 6-2 win over Bueno in the No. 4-seeded match.
Montreat took its first lead of the match with wins at the second and third-seeded match to surge in front 3-2.
Rachdanone and Salome Sposetti each won three-set thrillers to give Lindsey Wilson the come-from-behind win.
Rachdanone -- ranked 37th in the NAIA -- won a third-set tiebreaker without losing a point to beat Venkatesh 6-4, 1-6, 7-6 (0) in the fifth-seeded match. Sposetti defeated Sofia Hernandez 7-5, 4-6, 6-4 in the sixth-seeded match for the decisive point.

Lindsey Wilson blanked Xavier in the nightcap to close the day with a pair of upset wins.
Rachdanone and Ivanchenko opened the match with a win at third-seeded doubles and Challarapu and Sposetti quickly followed with a win in the second-seeded doubles to take a 1-0 lead on the Gold Nuggets.
The bottom half of the Blue Raider lineup once again came up big with three straight-set wins.
Rachdanone defeated Bailey Whitley 6-1, 6-0 at No. 5 to take a 2-0 lead.
Sposetti won 6-1, 6-2 over Ariana Stephens in the sixth-seeded match to push the Blue Raiders to the brink of the team win. Ivanchenko claimed the final point of the day with a 6-3, 7-5 win over Lindsey Dixon at No. 4.
The remainder of the matches were halted after Lindsey Wilson reached four points for the win.
Lindsey Wilson returns to action at noon CT on Sunday against Bluefield State (W.Va.) on the final day of the Grizzly Invitational.
