COLUMBIA, Ky. -- No. 10-ranked Lindsey Wilson women's tennis won its seventh straight match while moving into solo first-place in the Mid-South Conference with a 5-2 win over No. 14-ranked Cumberlands (Ky.) today at Henry Baughman Tennis Complex.

The Blue Raiders' lone loss this season is to top-ranked Georgia Gwinnett in mid-February.

Lindsey Wilson (10-1, 3-0 in the Mid-South) sits a half-game in front of Campbellsville (Ky.) and Georgetown (Ky.) in the MSC standings following today's match.

The Blue Raiders won the doubles point despite dropping the first doubles match of the day.

Cumberlands' Tessa Gray and Meiri Okuwaki beat Reshma Challarapu and Salome Sposetti 6-1 in the second-seeded match to take an early advantage.

But Lindsey Wilson responded with back-to-back wins to take the doubles point.

On court one, Alexandra Parra and Lucia Mora -- ranked 17th in the NAIA -- overcame an early deficit to beat 19th-ranked Tomomi Nagao and Mikaela Fros 6-4 to keep the Blue Raiders alive.

Parisa Rachdanone and Anastasiia Ivanchenko won the decisive point with a 7-5 victory over Johanna Beckmann and Hana Shimeno in the third-seeded match to push the Blue Raiders into an early 1-0 lead.

Cumberlands (11-4, 2-1) pulled even after the first three singles matches, but Lindsey Wilson won the final three matches to take the team match.

Tied at 1-1, Mora claimed a 6-2, 6-4 win over Okuwaki on court two to inch the Blue Raiders back in front.

With the match even at 2-2, Darija Mladenovic dropped just five games in a 6-2, 6-3 win over Johanna Beckmann on court four to put Lindsey Wilson in the lead for good. Mladenovic improves to 7-0 in singles play this season with the win.

Rachdanone followed with a 6-3, 6-1 win over Shimeno in the fifth-seeded match to give Lindsey Wilson its fourth team point and the win. Sposetti finished off the match with a 6-2, 2-6, 1-0 (10-7) win over Fan Shiau on court six to improve to a team-best 9-0 this season in singles.

Lindsey Wilson is back in action at 1 p.m. CT on Thursday, March 17, as the Blue Raiders host Indiana-East at Baughman Tennis Complex.
