COLUMBIA, Ky. – The Lindsey Wilson women's tennis team won two doubles matches and all six singles matches to defeat IU East 7-0 at the Henry Baughman Tennis Complex on Thursday afternoon.

Ninth-ranked Lucia Mora and Alexandra Parra opened the afternoon with a 6-0 sweep of Amonette Theron and Eva Cabellero during the top-seeded match. Parisa Rachdanone and Anastasiia Ivanchenko then claimed the doubles point when they produced a 6-1 win over Alyssa Hollingsworth and Mackenzie Cook at the No. 3 match.

Camilo Cabellero and Linda Marino of IU Southeast defeated Salome Sposetti and Reshma Challarapu 7-6 (7-1), needing the tiebreaker to pick up the win.

Lindsey Wilson quickly added their second point when Sposetti picked up a forfeit win during the No. 6 singles match. 3. Darija Mladenovic increased the LWC advantage to three when she overpowered Amonette Theron 6-4, 6-2 in the No. 3 singles match.

Thirty-second-ranked Mora clinched the match during the top-seeded bout with a 3-6, 6-1 (6-3) win over Linda Marino.

Challarapu took down Cabellero 7-5, 6-2 in the No. 2-seeded match as Rachdanone produced a clean sweep of Hollingsworth 6-0, 6-0. Ivanchenko closed out the day with a 6-0, 6-1 win against Cook.

Lindsey Wilson is set to host Pikeville (Ky.) on Sunday at 1 p.m. CT at the Henry Baughman Tennis Complex.
