Box Score COLUMBIA, Ky. -- No. 10-ranked Lindsey Wilson women's tennis won its 10th straight match this afternoon with a 7-0 sweep over visiting (RV) Cumberland (Tenn.) at Henry Baughman Tennis Complex.
The sweep marks the fifth in the last six matches for the Blue Raiders (13-1, 5-0 in the Mid-South Conference).
Lindsey Wilson secured the first point of the day in the doubles competition after No. 9-ranked Alexandra Parra and Lucia Mora defeated Elina Sungatullina and Kaede Hatano 6-3 in the top-seeded doubles match.
With one point in hand, the Phoenix responded as Maria Arbelaez and Jessica Hernandez defeated Reshma Challarapu and Anastasiia Ivanchenko 6-3 in the second-seeded doubles match.
The Blue Raiders secured the point in the final doubles match after Salome Sposetti and Darija Mladenovic defeated Lara Zugasti and Alexandra Leisbach 6-4.
With the win, Mora and Parra -- who is ranked No. 9 in the NAIA in doubles -- improve to a team-best 11-0 on the season.
Mora -- ranked 32nd in the NAIA in singles -- started the singles sweep with a 6-2, 7-6 (7-3) win over Sungatullina to push the Lindsey Wilson lead to 2-0. Challarapu followed Mora's game with a 6-3, 6-2 victory over Arbelaez.
Mladenovic won 6-1, 6-1 over Zugasti to remain unbeaten on the season while No. 29-ranked Parra defeated Hernandez 4-6, 6-3, 7-5 to keep the sweep alive.
Sposetti did not drop a game to move to 11-0 this season in singles after defeating Hatano 6-2, 6-1 while Ivanchenko won 6-1, 6-1 win over Carly Earnhardt to close out the day.
