COLUMBIA, Ky. -- The No. 10-ranked Lindsey Wilson women's tennis team completed their eighth sweep victory of the season after taking down UT Southern (13-6, 3-2 MSC) 7-0 this afternoon at the Henry Baughman Tennis Complex. The win pushed the Blue Raiders to a perfect 5-0 in Mid-South Conference play and 15-1 overall.

Alexandra Parra and Lucia Mora opened doubles play with a 6-4 win over Margaret Lucas and Emely Castro in the top-seeded match as Reshma Challarapu and Darija Mladenovic locked in the doubles point with a 6-3 result against Otone Odajima and Sara Teorode De Morias.

Parra and Mora are a perfect 13-0 in doubles play this season as Challarapu and Mladenovic pick up their second doubles win in as many attempts.

Anastasiia Ivanchenko and Salome Sposetti played out the final doubles match to a close 7-5 win over Yen-Ju Chang and Abbey Rumble.

Challarapu notched the first singles point of the afternoon with a 6-2, 4-1 win over De Morias as Parra narrowly won the top-seeded singles match 6-1, 7-6 (10-8). Parra managed the win over Lucas. Mora then secured the fourth point and the win when she defeated Teorode on a 7-6, 6-4 win.

Ivanchenko took down Chang 6-4, 6-1 as Mladenovic made quick work of Castro with a 6-0, 7-5 win. Sposetti closed out the match and the sweep with a fast 6-0, 6-1 win against Leovana Viamonte.

Lindsey Wilson returns to the court on Saturday when they take part in their first of four road matches with a match against Freed-Hardeman (Tenn.).
