COLUMBIA, Ky. – The Lindsey Wilson women's tennis team got back to their winning way as they defeated Georgetown (Ky.) 6-1 at the Henry Baughman Tennis Complex.

Lucia Mora and Anastasiia Ivanchenko opened doubles play with a 6-0 win over Samantha Spady and Lydia Prince. Parisa Rachdanone and Darija Mladenovic clinched the doubles point with a 6-2 win over Ana Forero and Michela Montori.

Salome Sposetti and Reshma Challarapu closed out doubles play with a 6-3 win over Maci Ferguson and Mia Ferguson.

Challarapu defeated Montori 7-6, 6-1 in the No. 3 singles to push the LWC lead to 2-0. Mora played the top-seeded match where she lost 2-6, 6-4, 4-6 to Ferguson.

Sposetti won the No. 6 match on a 6-0, 6-2 score as Rachdanone clinched the match with a 6-1, 6-2 win over Gill at No. 5 singles.

Challarapu downed Montori 7-6, 4-6, 7-6 at No. 2 singles while Ivanchenko closed things out with a 7-6, 6-1 win.

Lindsey Wilson is back on the courts on Friday when they travel to Campbellsville (Ky.).
