LAWRENCEVILLE, Ga. - The Lindsey Wilson women's tennis team fell to No. 5 Xavier (La.), 4-1, on Sunday morning at GGC Tennis Facility during the final leg of the Grizzly Invitational.

In the doubles matches, the No. 1 match in Valentina Largacha and Mbali Langa defeated Anastasiia Ivanchenko and Salome Sposetti, 6-2, as Heyka Rodriguez and Mayra Gisone fell to Yi Chen Pao and Valaine Clarke, 6-3, giving the Gold Nuggets the doubles point. The No. 3 singles match in Parisa Rachdanone and Reshma Challarapu against Tianna Dixon and McKenna Wheatley went unfinished at 4-4, as XULA had already secured the point.

In the singles matches, Gisone fell to Dixon, 6-1, 7-6, as Rodriguez was defeated by Largacha, 6-3, 7-5. The Blue Raiders secured their first, and only point in the No. 4 match as Rachdanone toppled Jaylnn Balleste, 6-4, 6-3. In the No. 1 match, Langa and Sposetti saw the Gold Nuggets win with a, 4-6, 6-1, 6-2, finishing the match 4-1 in favor of XULA. The No. 2 and 3 matches went unfinished as Xavier secured the win.

The Blue Raiders return to the court when they open up their conference play on the road in Lebanon against (RV) Cumberland (Tenn.) on March 2 at 1:00 p.m. CT.
