Box Score OVERLAND PARK, Kan. - The Lindsey Wilson women's tennis team defeated hosts Kansas Wesleyan 4-0 in the seventh-place match at the ITA NAIA National Women's Team Indoor Championship at the Overland Park Racquet Club, securing them seventh-place.
In the matches won, the Blue Raiders did not drop a single point to the Coyotes
Darija Mladenovic and Heyka Rodriguez kicked things off, toppling Kira McGrown and Michaela Crowe in the No. 1 doubles match 6-0 as Anastasiia Ivanchenko and Parisa Rachdanone were victorious over Kristi Henderson and Ania Bonner, 6-0, giving Lindsey Wilson the doubles point.
The No. 3 doubles match went unfinished in Salome Sposetti and Reshma Challarapu against Kaitlyn Wrye and Ezila Camp, with LWC being up 5-1, as the Blue Raiders had already secured the doubles point.
In the singles matches, Lindsey Wilson shut out the Coyotes with victories from Sposetti over Henderson, 6-0, 6-0, as Rachdanone bested Nolan, 6-0, 6-0. Ivanchenko finished off Kansas Wesleyan with a, 6-0, 6-0, victory over Camp and giving the Blue Raiders the 4-0 win.
The No. 1, 3, and 6 singles matches all went unfinished as Lindsey Wilson had already secured the victory..
The Blue Raiders now gears up for the Grizzly Invitational in Lawrenceville, Georgia, taking on the top-ranked Grizzlies on Feb. 17 at 10 a.m. CT.
