COLUMBIA, Ky. - The Lindsey Wilson women's tennis team defeated Freed-Hardeman (Tenn.) in a dominant 7-0 victory on Friday evening at Henry Baughman Tennis Complex.

In the doubles portion of the contest, Heyka Rodriguez and Mayra Gisone defeated Elise Kruzan and Morgan Brown, 6-0, as Parisa Rachdanone and Anastasiia Ivanchenko downed Michelle Lancaster and Julianna Alves, 6-0. The Blue Raiders went on to sweep the doubles matches after Reshma Challarapu and Darija Mladenovic toppled Vicky Rodriguez-Lugo and Hannah Pearce, 6-1.

In the singles matches, Mladenovic defeated Rodriguez-Lugo, 6-0, 6-3, and Salome Sposetti downed Alves, 6-0, 6-3, also. Rachdanone then stepped onto the court and dominated for a 6-0, 6-1, as Ivanchenko subsequently swept Brown, 6-0, 6-0. Challarapu downed Lancaster in a gusty two hours and nine-minute match that showed the scorebook reading, 0-6, 6-2, 7-5, in Lindsey Wilson's favor. Rodriguez polished off the evening with a 6-0, 6-0, victory over Pearce, giving the Blue Raiders the 7-0 win.

The Lindsey Wilson women's tennis team will be back in action when they take on Georgetown (Ky.) at Lackey Tennis Center at 1 p.m. CT.
