Box Score GEORGETOWN, Ky. - The Lindsey Wilson women's tennis team blanks Georgetown (Ky.), 7-0, on Wednesday evening at Lackey Tennis Center, for their fifth consecutive conference victory.
In the doubles matches, Mayra Gisone and Heyka Rodriguez toppled Hana Dixon and Madelyn Gill, 6-0, as Reshma Challarapu and Darija Mladenovic downed Samantha Spady and Lydia Prince, 6-0. Parisa Rachdanone and Salome Sposetti defeated Emma Hill and Bailee Martin, 6-1, showing the Blue Raiders sweep the doubles portion.
In the singles matches, Challarapu dominated Martin for a 6-1, 6-1, victory, as Rachdanone defeated Gill, 6-2, 6-2. Sposetti secured the victory for Lindsey Wilson with her 6-3, 6-3 triumphant win over Spady. The two squads would play the match to completion where Mladenovic downed Hill, 6-3, 6-3, as Anastasiia Ivanchenko defeated Prince, 6-2, 6-0, leading into the final match of the day in Gisone downing Abby Moss, 6-1, 6-0, polishing off the 7-0 victory for Lindsey Wilson.
All told the Blue Raiders did not drop a single set to the Tigers.
The Lindsey Wilson women's tennis team will be back in action when they battle with Campbellsville (Ky.) for the women's tennis rendition of the Battle of Highway 55 at Henry Baughman Tennis Complex on Mar. 23 at 1 p.m. CT.
