PULASKI, Tenn. - The Lindsey Wilson women's tennis team was victorious over Tennessee Southern, 6-1, on Tuesday afternoon at Magazine Road Park, notching their second consecutive conference victory.

In the doubles matches, Reshma Challarapu and Darija Mladenovic downed Leovanna Viamonte and Victoria Sanches, 6-0, as Heyka Rodriguez and Mayra Gisone defeated Margaret Lucas and Emely Castro, 6-3, giving the Blue Raiders the doubles point. The No. 1 match between Salome Sposetti and Parisa Rachdanone also finished in favor of the Blue Raiders, beating Otone Odajima and Yen-Ju Chang, 6-4, to sweep the doubles portion.

In the singles matches, Anastasiia Ivanchenko defeated Sanches, 6-0, 6-0, as Challarapu downed Lucas, 6-1, 6-0. Rodriguez toppled Viamonte, 2-6, 6-4, 6-0, giving Lindsey Wilson the 4-0 victory. Both squads finished the respective matches as Rachdanone defeated Chang, 4-6, 6-0, 6-2. The Firehawks then secured themselves a point back when Odajima downed Sposetti, 2-6, 6-2, 1-0 (12-10), while No. 50-ranked Mladenovic rounded out the afternoon following a 6-0, 6-7 (6-8), 6-2, triumphant victory over Castro, and having the scorebook showing 6-1 in favor of Lindsey Wilson.

The Blue Raiders will return to Henry Baughman Tennis Complex when they take on Bethel (Tenn.) on March 16 at 1 p.m. CT.
