Box Score PADUCAH, Ky. – The No. 14 Lindsey Wilson women's tennis team fell to NCAA Division I Southeast Missouri State 5-2 Tuesday at the Lone Oak Tennis Complex.
The Redhawks (1-3) took a 1-0 lead after winning all three doubles matches.
Anastasiia Vorobiova and
Anastasiia Ivanchenko fell to Daniela Hlacikova and Juliette Talieu 6-2 at No. 1 doubles.
Southeast Missouri State secured the doubles point on court two after a 6-3 win from Trinity Calinescu and Vivian Lai over
Mariangeles Mateu and
Heyka Rodriguez. Doubles played wrapped up with the Redhawks winning 5-2 in the third-seeded doubles match.
Reshma Challarapu won by forfeit in the first set at No. 6 singles to tie the match at 1-1. The Redhawks went on to win the match winning at No. 2, No. 1, No. 4, and No. 3 singles.
Rodriguez recorded the only other point for the Blue Raiders. She defeated Lera Valeeva 7-6, 2-6, 10-8 in the fifth-seeded singles match.
The Blue Raiders return to action on Friday as Lindsey Wilson travels to Indiana Southeast in New Albany, Ind.
