Men's Track and Field

Track & Field Competes at Bellarmine Open Friday

COLUMBIA, Ky. -  The Lindsey Wilson men's and women's track and field teams travel to Louisville, Kentucky for the Bellarmine Open Friday at the Norton Healthcare Sports & Learning Center.

The Blue Raiders will have Kai Avery open up as he will be competing in the men's 60m Hurdle Prelims. Isabel Urrutia Lemus will follow up on the women's side of the 60m Hurdle Prelims. Lindsey Wilson has been running extremely well as they look to make history for another week.

In the men's one-mile run, Justin Stearns and Marti Mollins will run to outperform their previous results in the Commodore Challenge at Vanderbilt. Daniel Otibo looks to place in another top three finish as he will be competing in the men's 400m.

Reigning Mid-South Conference Men's Field Athlete of the Week Lorezo Luces will be getting his mind and body focused as he will be waiting later in the afternoon to compete in the men's triple jump. He finished first in his last event at Vanderbilt.

To close out the day, the women will run the 4x400 meter having Ta'shya Cramer, Anna Grasse, Kayly Guthrie, and Alisha Claycomb compete as they previously set a school record in last week's event.

The Bellarmine Open gets underway Friday at 8 a.m. CT at the Norton Healthcare Sports & Learning Center.
