COLUMBIA, Ky. - Lindsey Wilson student-athlete Efua Asabel has been named the Mid-South Conference women's soccer Offensive Player of the Week, league officials announced on Monday. 

The junior from Cape Coast, Ghana had two goals and an assist in her performance against Mid-South opponent No.12 Cumberland (Tenn.) last Wednesday, helping the (RV) Blue Raiders to a 3-3 draw with the Phoenix.

Asabel is tied first for the team lead with four goals but stands alone with nine points on the year. 

This recognition marks Asabel's first of her Blue Raider career

Efua and the Blue Raiders will be back in action at 3:30 p.m. CT on Wednesday October 1 to take on No.4 Cumberlands (Ky.) at James H. Taylor II Stadium in Williamsburg.
