Blue Raiders Open Mid-South Conference Schedule Against Georgetown

COLUMBIA, Ky.- The Blue Raider men's soccer team hosts Mid-South Conference opponent Georgetown (Ky.) for their first conference match-up of the season at 7 P.M. on Ray Wells Field at Walter S. Reuling Stadium. 

Lindsey Wilson is off to their best start (5-0-1) since 2018 when they held a 4-1-1 record within the first six games. The Blue Raiders are coming off a 3-1 decision over No.16-ranked Marian (Ind.), where they outshot the Knights 26-9 and extended their streak of not conceding a goal in the second half to opponents. Dominic Ayella and Milan Diao lead the scoring column for Lindsey with three goals apiece. Michael Rempel heads the assist column with five, while also contributing a goal. Francois Djiba protects the goal with a 4-0-1 record, saving 17 of the 19 shots he has faced. 

Georgetown sits at 1-3-1 on the season, with its most recent loss coming from Shawnee State (Ohio), 2-1. The Tigers hold a .121 shot percentage, scoring seven goals in 58 shots with 30 being considered on goal. Reid Schulten leads the offense with two goals, while five Tigers have recorded an assist. Simon Heine holds the only win in the goalie column and has played in four matches and started three in the net for Georgetown, saving 11 of the 14 shots faced, allowing only 3 goals. 

This will be the 36th meeting between the two programs with Lindsey Wilson holding the 33-0-2 advantage. The Blue Raiders sit at 19-0 at home when facing the Tigers, outscoring them 87-7 at home.
