Women’s Flag Football Faces (RV) Campbellsville in First Battle of Highway 55 Meeting

COLUMBIA, Ky.- The Blue Raider women's flag football team is set to host Campbellsville (Ky.) in their inaugural season home-opener on Friday at 7 P.M. CT inside Parnell Family Stadium. 

Lindsey Wilson opened its season 3-0 after defeating Chowan (N.C.) 87-0, Virginia Wesleyan 111-0, and Hollins (Va.) 97-0. LWU picked up its first loss against Ferrum (Va.) 39-19 on February 28, to sit at 3-1 headed into Friday's meeting with Campbellsville.

Amaya Pablo leads the Blue Raiders in passing yards with a 64 percent completion rate, connecting on 64-of-100 of her passes. Pablo also leads the team in rushing yards with 164-yards on 22 rushes, with an average of 41-yards a game. Cadence Wermers leads the team in receptions with 25, averaging 12.3-yards a catch. 

Emily Good leads the defense with 12.0 tackles for loss and two interceptions for 30-yards. Ashten Dickerson leads the team in interceptions with five, totaling 28-yards. 

Campbellsville sits at 3-6 on the season and is currently on a five-game slide dropping its most recent match on Thursday to Cumberland (Tenn.) in a 25-0 decision. Kornie Talkington leads the Tigers in passing connecting on 73-of-138 attempts for a 52.9 percent completion rate. Monica Montes leads the team in receptions averaging 5.5 per game for a total of 61.3-yards a game. 

Emani Scott leads the team in tackles with 30.0 on the season for 7.5 tackles per game. Trinity Reagan leads the team in interceptions tallying two on the season with a total of 15-yards. 

Tonight's meeting will be the first between the two programs with Lindsey Wilson entering the night with four games under its belt compared to Campbellsville's four seasons. 

Lindsey Wilson and Campbellsville will snap the ball at 7 P.M. CT inside Parnell Family Stadium in the Blue Raiders first home game of their inaugural season.
