Flag Football Sweeps Wittenberg Doubleheader

SPRINGFIELD, Ohio,- The Lindsey Wilson flag football team swept a doubleheader on Saturday afternoon at Wittenberg (Ohio).

The Blue Raiders took game one 51-6 and completed the sweep with a 34-0 victory in game two.

Amaya Pablo led the Blue Raider offense completing 23-of-34 passes for 368-yards and nine touchdowns. Pablo also led the team in rushing yards with 14 carries for 133-yards and two touchdowns. Cadence Wermers tallied 12 receptions on the day for 137-yards and three touchdowns. Gabby Kruse totaled five receptions for 49-yards and one touchdown.

Emily Good fronted the defensive brigade with 19 flag pulls and a sack for five-yards. Jali Santiago snagged eight flag pulls and two interceptions. Emerson Gregory and Ashten Dickersen each tallied an interception for a pick-six on the day with Gregorys coming from 37-yards out and Dickersen for three-yards.

Women's flag football will be back in action at 5 P.M. CT on Wednesday in Lebanon, Tennessee to face the Phoenix of Cumberland (Tenn.).
