COLUMBIA, Ky.- The Blue Raider men's soccer team fell three spots to the five slot in the fourth NAIA Men's Soccer Top 25 Coaches' Poll, announced by the national office Wednesday.
Lindsey Wilson sits at 8-2-1 on the season and 2-2 in Mid-South Conference play. The Blue Raiders have dropped their last two matches with a 3-2 decision to a then-No.14-ranked Cumberland (Tenn.) team and a 1-0 shutout by the then-No.8-ranked Patriots of the Cumberlands (Ky.).
The Blue Raiders are outscoring their opponents 28-8 this season and have allowed just two second-half goals. Lindsey Wilson has recorded five shutouts this season.
LWU will take a conference detour and face the Firehawks of Tennessee Southern on Thursday before finishing their conference regular season schedule against No.18-ranked Bethel (Tenn.) on October 21, and Freed Hardeman (Tenn.) October 25.
The Blue Raiders are also joined by fellow MSC contenders Cumberlands at No. 6 and Cumberland at No.13.
Lindsey Wilson will be back in action on Thursday night at 7 p.m. CT to Face the Firehawks on Ray Wells field at Walter S. Reuling Stadium.
